What is the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)?

GRI, or the Global Reporting Initiative, is the world’s most widely adopted voluntary standard for corporate sustainability reporting. Its guidance covers the full spectrum of economic, environmental, social, and governance issues that private and public companies face. Companies reporting in line with GRI standards signal to a broad set of stakeholders that they understand and are transparent about their outward impact on the world, both positive and negative. Hear more about GRI and why it is important for businesses from a Schneider Electric Sustainability Consultant, Lily Proom.
