Schneider Electric Collaborates with Tricon to Enhance Environmental Sustainability in the Chemical Industry

  • Comprehensive suite of services aims to set a new standard for collaboration, transparency, and accountability in emissions management within the chemical sector.

Louisville, KY August 19, 2024Schneider Electric, a global leader in digital transformation and energy management, is pleased to announce a strategic collaboration with Tricon, a global leader in the trade and distribution of chemicals, on their Supplier Incentive Program. This collaboration marks a significant step forward in fostering transparency and sustainability across the chemical value chain.

The Supplier Incentive Program is designed to reduce financial burdens and accelerate Tricon’s suppliers’ decarbonization journey. As part of the program, Schneider Electric offers a comprehensive suite of services at no cost to participating suppliers, including:

  • Zeigo Activate: A carbon reduction software as a service, empowering small and medium-sized enterprises to track and effectively reduce their carbon emissions through essential tools and resources.

  • Energy Efficiency Target Setting & Achievement Roadmap: Facilitation of an engagement session to discuss the technical, operational, and financial components necessary to define a Carbon & OpEx reduction roadmap for company facilities.  

  • Renewable Energy Opportunity Assessment (REOA): Evaluating opportunities for integrating renewable energy sources into supplier operations, promoting sustainable energy practices.

  • Offsite Purchase Transaction: Power Purchase Agreements and Tax Credit Investment Opportunities: Advisory services to secure scalable, long-term renewable energy, and leverage tax credit opportunities in offsite projects.

  • Onsite Solar Portfolio Assessment: Assess owned facilities’ potential for hosting onsite solar PV and gain insights into project economic viability.

  • EAC Purchases: Assisting in purchasing Energy Attribute Certificates (EACs) to support claims of renewable energy use and sustainability objectives.
