EcoVadis Responsible Health Initiative (RHI) Launches Collaboration with Schneider Electric’s Energize Program to Accelerate Decarbonization

Suppliers participating in EcoVadis’ RHI can now join the program led by Schneider Electric’s SE Advisory Services and access training and guidance to accelerate climate action and decarbonization efforts across global pharmaceutical value chains.

PARIS & NEW YORK – June 2026The Responsible Health Initiative (RHI), powered by EcoVadis, today announced the launch of a new collaboration with the Energize program, designed and delivered by SE Advisory Services, Schneider Electric’s global consulting practice, to support the decarbonization of global pharmaceutical supply chains.

EcoVadis research shows that, for the average company, supply chain emissions (Scope 3) are 21 times larger than Scopes 1 and 2 combined. Ignoring these emissions could cost companies over $500 billion in annual liabilities globally by 2030. In the healthcare industry, the study reveals that only 6% of companies have a plan to transform to a low-carbon business, making it one of the slowest sectors to engage in climate transition plans.

This collaboration represents a significant opportunity to advance a concerted industry effort to transition toward renewable energy and drive impactful supply chain decarbonization.

The Energize program is a collaboration among 27 global pharmaceutical companies to engage hundreds of suppliers in bold climate action and decarbonization of the pharmaceutical value chain. Through this collaboration, RHI suppliers are now eligible to join and gain access to education, digital tools, and global expert advisory services provided by Schneider Electric’s SE Advisory Services team.

Key Benefits for RHI Suppliers:

  • Decarbonization, Simplified: Suppliers gain access to a clear, actionable plan to transition to renewable energy with direct support from industry experts.

  • Sustainability Skills, Strengthened: The program offers exclusive training and personalized guidance designed to build a company's carbon maturity and confidence.

RHI suppliers who want to take advantage of the program are now invited to register for Energize via this link. Registering enables Schneider Electric to share their progress with EcoVadis, making their efforts visible to RHI members.

Suppliers interested in learning how Energize can support their decarbonization efforts can see an example of this collaboration in action in this video.
